Liverpool coach and Pep Guardiola’s nemesis Jürgen Klopp shared his views on Guardiola’s recent statements.
Klopp said he’s happy to see Liverpool being a pain in the a** referring to Guardiola’s statement. He has asked his side to push the defending champions to their limits in the title race.
The reds will reduce the gap by mere 3 points between them and table leaders if they beat Leeds at Anfield.
Liverpool is on an 8 match winning streak which has helped them to bridge the gap to become table toppers.
A midweek win again Sporting Lisbon, Guardiola jokingly told CBS sports that Liverpool were a “pain in the a** ” and Klopp said he wants his team to continue to annoy the Spaniard.
Klopp also emphasized the importance of every game that they play. Many presume Liverpool’s trip to Etihad in April might be a “title decider”.
Seeking an update on the player’s availability, Klopp said both Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino will be unavailable for the Leeds game. He also stressed the point to face a battle to be fit for the Carabao Cup Final against Chelsea on Feb 27th.
