A former fitness model Melina first made a name for herself in WWE when she guided fellow socialites Johnny Nitro enjoy mercury to the WWE tag team championship. In April 2005 during their reign, MNM annoyed nearly everybody with their name dropping of such people like Paris Hilton and Kevin Federline. Melina’s managerial credits also include leading Nitro to the intercontinental championship.
it was her in-ring prowess that Melina will be remembered for most in early 2007 she dedicated herself to becoming a champion and witnessed weeks she was on top of the division defeating Mickie James for the women’s championship a title she would go on to hold on three separate occasions. In October 2009 Melina defeated Jillian to capture the Divas championship and become one of the elite few to hold both the women’s and Divas titles.
She later became a two-time Divas champion when she defeated Alicia fox for the gold at summer slam 2010. Melina’s illustrious WWE career came to an end when she was released by WWE in the summer of 2011.
