IPL 2023 is over, but one question that still prevails is MS Dhoni retired from cricket? The 2023 IPL season ended in a exciting fashion. It was the defending champions Gujrat Titans Vs Chennai Super Kings. On one end GT(Gujrat Titan) we’re looking to retain their title, while Chennai were looking to equal Mumbai Indians record of 5 title wins. However, the wait to decide the champions lasted three days. First day was washed out and on 2nd day it again started raining as soon as the 2nd innings started. The game got delay by quite a long time and game resumed post 12:10AM reduced to 15 overs with 171 to chase.

The 16th season of IPL lasted over 2 months. However, one major attraction through out the season was MS Dhoni. It is anticipated that this will be captain cool’s last dance. As a result a sea of yellolove was seen across all the venues irrespective of the home teams. Wherever Dhoni went fans followed. Everyone glared their eyes on scoreboard as to when will Thala Dhoni walk out to bat. The craze was so high that the fans were cheering every CSK wicket until Dhoni walks out to bat.
Have we seen the last of MS Dhoni on cricket field?
Some believe it is the script pulled out of some Bollywood movie. The final went on to the last ball and it was the CSK who were crowned champions. As expected everyone waited for Harsha Bhogle to interview MS Dhoni and ask him the most anticipated question about his retirement.
Surprisingly to many, MS said he has 6-7 months to decide whether he’ll be back next season or hang his boots given the conditions of his knees. As Dhoni said he’ll be happy to be back next season there was a loud cheer. But one question that still pertains how sure are we for Dhoni to return next season.

Well speaking of History and nature of MS Dhoni, He’s a man who likes to shy away from limelight. Considering his past retirement announcements, He’s not a man who looks for a staged farewell.
Evident from his past records it is most likely that he’ll announce his retirement in Social Media. However, this announcement is most likely to be around the beginning of the next season.
